If you are considering hosting your WordPress blog/website on a free web hosting account, I don’t recommend you doing this. I passed through this, and from my own experience I can tell you that it was just a waste of time – going with a free web host for my WordPress site. Free web hosts are unreliable and to run WordPress you need a database and this was the problem. The database was down too often = my WP blog was down often, even if I was hosted with a decent free web host.
Since then I rather pay a few bucks monthly for hosting and don’t have to worry anymore if my sites are down or not.
When choosing a web hosting provider for your WordPress blog or site, the only special thing you will need to run WordPress is a MySQL database (required to run WordPress). Then if you need to host more sites, you will need more domains hosting and more databases as well. My tip is to choose one of the top 3 hosts above – they are all good for WordPress. You will also be able to install WordPress quickly – with just one click in your CPanel using Fantastico (check my WP installation tutorial if you don’t know what I mean).
My choice would be BlueHost. It is a great well know web hosting provider with the best reputation in my opinion. They also won the 2008 award for best web host support. Or if you want to save a few dollars, you can also try HostMonster. They are as good as BlueHost, just even cheaper.
Finally, don’t forget to check out my WordPress themes on my site www.wpmix.com – I’m a wordpress themes designer.

This blog is professional and I receive commissions for the mentioned products. This however does not influence my reviews, as I have tested Bluehost personally and can just recommend them.
